Woo Hoo! Second post in one day! So it is official. My camer's memory card had to be reformatted and I lost a good deal of my pictures. I had some backed up on my computer at work thank goodness. Anyway I have a few pictures I can post for you.
Here is my very first dye-bath. It was done with easter egg coloring.
These are a bunch of spools a friend of mine at work made me. Aren't they great!?

Easter egg dyes, what a great idea! lol My gf uses teas. She would brew them all up and have them in separate containers so she could see the differences in colors.

Hello lifemyway. I've noticed you've come by and commented a number of times on my blog and I still don't know your name. I think it's great that you are studying massage therapy...I have need of it on a regular basis due to knots in my upper back...your attitude toward life is terrific..and your eagerness to play around with all things needle-full is a delight. I expect great things from you and I'm glad we've connected.
And yes, tea is a great source for making something that looks too shiny and new...look a bit vintage. I use it on image transfers and "new" white laces to make them look old...

From the looks of it you are having fun dyeing up some laces and playing with lots of CQ. It becomes so addicting and the more you play with it to more you want to create.
